Korea-Britain Society

The Korea - Britain Society (KBS) was established in 1961 to foster understanding between the British and Korean communities here in Korea. Since then it has organised events and sponsored initiatives to bring Korea and the UK closer together.

    Scholarship winner of 2011 - Mr. Lee  Byung Shik from YTN news has been successfully selected and will study about "Climate change and effort in England" in September.
  • Chevening Scholarship
    Ms. Shinyoung Kang will study MIF (Masters in Finance) at LBS (London Business School)
  • English Language Teachers
    Ms. Nam Hyejin from Jindo Elementary school
    Ms. Lee Misun from Eridongsan(이리동산) Elementary School
  • English for the Future

KBS Excursions

2009 - HE Martin Uden, British Ambassador and KBS members visited Yeosu and the island of Geomundo during the weekend of October 24-25. The members paid tribute at the graveyard of the British Soldiers at the memorial place in Geomundo. Please click here to see the KBS newsletter.

2011 - KBS members agreed that trip to Busan UN Memorial cemetery is the best option for this year.
